Philly Explained
Medium-form writing.  This one’s about how to get burgled and then get your stuff back in North Philly.  It is not a piece on what a machine gun is or that a bolt action rifle cannot, by definition, be a machine gun. Firearms also make a poor choice for home decoration. Books are better. The cops think that this bro is an idiot and he probably is.

UPDATE: Apparently we had some trouble with the tumblr for iPhone app technology on this post.  I wonder why. (URL somewhat NSFW)  Things are better now. The radio said that Obama wants to share the message that America is open for business. If he takes the LePage route then we’ll need better security.

The Dangers of Skiing
Well, this is a sad post, but skiing is a dangerous sport and that is our topic today. There have been a number of skiing-related deaths since last weekend. There was a horrific “comedy of horrors” in Maine, a woman fell and slid to her death at Silverton, and two people died the other day near Aspen. One of the two victims from Aspen marks this season’s first avalanche...

I mean, I’m generally a fan of planners giving cyclists the attention they need, but i’m having a hard time understanding this one.  We seem to have more trouble with bikes in intersections when either cyclists or cars try too make a light that they can’t or (in Denver) get in a politer-than-thou situation where everyone is giving out right-of-way like candy at a Fourth of July...
